Privacy Policy

Last updated July 17, 2026

CLOC is a work management and script repository service operated by Solvelop LLC ("Solvelop", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information CLOC collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It pays particular attention to the content you store in CLOC, because storing your work - projects, tasks, files, and SQL scripts - is how the product works.

By signing in to CLOC, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

Account information. Your email address, display name, and a password. Passwords are salted and hashed (PBKDF2) before storage; we never store or see your password in plain text. CLOC is invite-only: when an administrator invites you, we store the email address and name they provide in order to create your account.

Content you store. The working material you put into CLOC: company and project records, tasks and their descriptions, files you attach to projects, and SQL scripts with their categories and descriptions. Attached files are stored in private cloud storage and are only accessible through short-lived signed links generated for you.

Technical information. Standard server logs (such as IP address, requested URL, and error details) used to operate and secure the service, and an audit record of security-relevant actions such as sign-ins and deletions. CLOC uses only the cookies required to keep you signed in; there are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Email delivery. Transactional emails (invitations and password resets) are delivered through Amazon Web Services. We do not send marketing email to CLOC accounts without consent.

Billing information. Paid CLOC plans are currently invoiced directly by Solvelop. We store the records needed to invoice you (your plan and billing status). If we later use a card processor, card details will be handled by that processor, not stored by CLOC.

Your clients' information

CLOC is built for consultants, so the content you store may include information about your own clients and contacts. For that information, you are the controller: you are responsible for having the right to store it, and we process it solely to provide the service to you, on your instructions. We do not use your stored content for any other purpose. We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train machine-learning models.

How we use your information

Workspace isolation

Every user's data is siloed: companies, projects, tasks, files, and scripts belong to one account, and that separation is enforced in the database layer on every operation. Solvelop staff do not browse your content; we access it only when you ask us to (support), when necessary to secure or maintain the service, or when required by law.

How we share information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share information only in these limited cases:

Data retention and your choices

We retain your content for as long as your account is active. After deletion, residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period (typically up to 60 days) before they are purged, except where retention is required by law.

Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections. Passwords are salted and hashed; attached files live in private storage reachable only through short-lived signed links; access within our systems follows least-privilege principles; and repeated failed sign-ins temporarily lock the account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices as the service evolves.

Children

CLOC is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where your information is processed

CLOC is operated in the United States. If you access CLOC from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Revisions take effect when posted here, and we will update the "Last updated" date above.
